How to remove an employee from TotalTime+

Introduction

If you use BioTime+ to manage your employee time and attendance records, you may need to remove an employee from the system when they leave your company. In this document, we'll provide you with a simple guide to remove an employee from BioTime+.


Before you proceed with the removal process, it's important to take a backup of your data. This ensures that you have a copy of the employee's records in case you need them for auditing purposes. Once you've taken this step, you can proceed with the removal process, which we'll outline in the following sections. With these steps, you'll be able to remove an employee from BioTime+ easily and efficiently.

Taking a backup

Before removing an employee from BioTime+, it's important to take a backup of your data. This ensures that you have a copy of the employee's records in case you need them for auditing purposes.


To take a backup, log in to BioTime+ and navigate to the main screen. From there, find the Backup button under the System Maintenance menu, as shown in the screenshot below. Clicking on this button will initiate the backup process.



Once the backup is complete, you can proceed with confidence to remove the employee from BioTime+.


Removing the employee

To remove an employee from BioTime+, you'll need to access their employee file. To do this, navigate to the Maintenance menu and select Employee File, as shown in the screenshot below.



After navigating to the employee file, you'll see a screen that displays a list of employees similar to the one shown below. To locate the employee you wish to remove, use the left and right arrows above the tab labelled Personal.


Once you've found the employee's record, you can proceed with the removal process by changing the Status box to "delete," as highlighted in the screenshot below.


Next, click on the Trashcan icon located on the top toolbar to remove the employee from the system. A dialogue box will appear asking you to confirm the removal of the employee. To complete the process, click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.



It's important to note that once an employee is removed, their time and attendance data will also be deleted from the system. So make sure you have taken a backup of your data before removing an employee from BioTime+.
