Step 5 - Adding the Clocking Machine to TotalTime+ (USB)

Introduction

This part of the guide will allow you to configure TotalTime+ to read clocking from the USB Stick.

If you have a networked clock you don't need to follow this guide.

Opening up TotalTime+

Find the TotalTime+ Icon on your desktop, it should look like the image below. Double click this to open up TotalTime+


The login screen will show. The default username is 1ttadmin and the default password is concorde123.


Accessing the Terminal Setup section

You can navigate to the Terminal Setup page by first clicking the Set Up icon as shown below:


This will load the Setup section of the software, you can then click on the Terminals tab to get the screen pictured below:


Then follow the steps below:

  • Set the Terminal Type option to C.
  • The name field should be filled in for you to easily determine which terminal is which.
  • The File Path field should be set to the root of the USB Memory Stick. This will depend on the drive letter assigned to the USB Memory stick by your PC. For instance if the drive letter assigned is D then the File Path should be set to D:\
    • You can find the drive letter assigned to your USB by plugging the USB in and then opening My Documents. Once open click this PC on the left.
    • There should be a list of Devices and Drives, you can see your USB Stick in there with the assigned drive letter, if you're unsure which is your USB unplug the USB and see which on disappears, you can then plug it back in again.
  • Once you have set these details click the Save icon (The middle button on the top tool bar of the software, pictured by a Floppy Disk icon). 
  • A window will load saying 'Terminal 1 settings have changed. Do you wish to save these changes?' Click Yes.


Reading clockings in from the USB Stick

To get the latest clockings into the software click the 'Two Screens' icon in the top left of the software pictured below:


A dialog should pop up pictured below:


Once the collection has finished, you can click the door icon highlighted to close the collection dialog.


USB Collection Is Now Configured
