With Evotime, you have the flexibility to decide exactly what data you want in your reports.

Create custom presets to suit your specific needs, ensuring you're not limited by pre-made report formats.

1. Accessing the Reports Page

The Reports page can be found under "Reporting" > "Payroll Output"
Here, you'll notice two tabs:

  • Reports: View or download previously run reports as PDFs.
  • Payroll Output: Export total hours to various payroll systems.

To create a new report, simply click the "Add New" button.

2. Using the Report Builder

After selecting "Add New", you'll be taken to the report builder. Here's a quick overview of the options available, from left to right:

  • Report Name: Enter the title of your report, which will also serve as the file name when downloaded.
  • Date Range: Define the period of time the report will cover.
  • Display Format: Choose between hours and minutes (H:M) or decimal format for the totals.
  • Sort By: Select how the report data should be organised.
  • Report Preset: Pick from pre-made or custom report setups for quick configuration.
  • One Employee Per Page: Opt to have each employee’s data appear on a separate page.
  • What To Show: Choose which timesheet details to include in the report.
  • Employees: Specify which employees to include in the report.

3. Creating a Report Preset

Report presets are optional but can save you time if you frequently generate the same reports for specific employees or data.

Presets automatically save the following settings:

  • Display Format
  • What To Show
  • Employees

When saving a report, the Report Name becomes the name of the preset. You can overwrite presets using the save Icon or delete presets using the delete icon.

4. Downloading and Viewing Reports

Once you click "Run Report", the report will be processed in the background. A notification will appear in the top-right corner when your report is ready to view or download.

For optimal results, experiment with different setups until you find the format that works best for you.
