Introduction

The TP500 allows you to perform various functions using the clock cards that come with the terminal, such as extracting all clock data or deleting it entirely. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to carry out these tasks.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Prior to using the cards

Once the USB is connected to the TP500, it will initially search for any files named Names, Parameter, and Bells on the disk. If none of these files are detected, the TP500 will display the message "Valid Disk," indicating that the USB is ready for further actions such as collecting clockings.

Collecting Clockings

Plug in the USB and wait until the display finally shows:

Valid Disk

Enter Op code *

To initiate the download operation, simply tap the "Download Clocking Data" button. This will trigger the creation of a DAT type file with the current date as its name. Upon completion of the download, the display will indicate the number of clockings transferred to the USB and confirm that the clockings memory in the terminal has been cleared. Subsequently, the display will show:

Now Remove Disk

Or do next Op *

Then remove the USB.

Recollecting old clockings

Plug in the flash disk and until the display finally shows:

Valid Disk

Enter Op code *

To initiate the desired operation, select the appropriate badge. Choose the "Download Past Data 1" badge to download all clockings from the previous download until the current time.

The "Download Past Data 2" option allows you to retrieve all clockings from the download that occurred prior to the "Past Data 1" download, up until the present time.

By selecting the "Download Past Data 3" option, you can retrieve all clockings starting from the download after the "Past Data 2" download up until the current time.

If you choose the "Download Past Data 3" option, you will be able to access and retrieve all clockings that occurred after the "Past Data 2" download up until the present time.

Once the download is finished, the display will provide information about the number of clockings that have been transferred. It's important to note that in this process, the terminal's clockings memory is not cleared.

The display will then show:

Now Remove Disk

Or do next Op *

Then remove the USB.

Setting the terminal Date/Time

Plug in the flash disk and the display shows:

Valid Disk

Enter Op code *

To enter the time/date setting mode, select the "Enter Set Time Operation" badge. Once activated, the display will present the full time in the format of Hours:Minutes:Seconds on the top row. The second row of the display will show the minutes, indicating the units that are currently being adjusted.

Utilize the "Change Mode" function to progress to the subsequent units. For example, you can transition from minutes to hours or from hours to the Day of the Week by using this feature.

To modify the displayed units, employ the Count Up or Count Down Card. By clocking once, the counting process will commence, while clocking again will halt it. Whenever an adjustment is made, the seconds will be reset to zero. When you choose to Save Changes and Exit, the time will begin with zero seconds.

To exit the Set Time mode without saving any alterations, utilize the "Exit Set Time without saving changes" card. This option allows you to leave the Set Time mode without making any modifications.

On quitting the display shows:

Now Remove Disk

Or do next Op *

Remove the USB to return the terminal to the normal operating mode.

Deleting all Clock Data

Another operation that can be initiated using a badge is called "Delete all Clockings." This particular action allows you to erase all existing clocking data in the system.

Under normal circumstances, it is not necessary to use this operation. The clockings stored in the terminal are automatically cleared once the Download Clocking Data operation successfully transfers them to the memory stick. However, if there is a need to delete all clockings from the terminal, you can accomplish this by connecting a flash disk. Once the flash disk is plugged in, the display will show:

Valid Disk

Enter Op code *

By selecting the "Delete all Clockings" badge, the display will present the following information:

Use FDC BADGE to

Clear the memory

Now, clock the FDC Card to confirm your intention to delete all clockings. Once confirmed, all clockings will be permanently erased, and the display will show:

Now Remove Disk

Or do next Op *

Remove the USB to return the terminal to normal operation.
